All change on the Bay Road?

Just a block away from the apartment, lies the famous Bay Road: Pretty beaches, beach restaurants and just above - a haven for cheerful celebrants. Stag and Hen do's abound. Souvenir shops, Bars selling full English, a sprinkling of Paella and Sangria and showing Sport, sometimes combined with live music. Everybody is having a lot of fun, at a far more affordable price, than they might find elsewhere. It is loud and it is proud. For those who prefer a gentler pace, there's always been Kumharas - sunset bar with wonderful music, but arguably that was it. In the last few years, something new is quietly venturing in. Hotel Paradiso as above: Fun, Miami architecture, diner-style eats, fabulous cocktails, a small, but interesting contemporary art gallery and inventive events. Sol house - home to the Ibiza Rocks roof bar, including infinity pool and advertised as the prettiest bar on the Island. There are also a couple of non souvenir/Ibiza branded clothes shops, a pretty patisserie etc. They all seem to coexist very happily, even though there is seemingly no synergy whatsoever, but why am I surprised - it is Ibiza and long may the 'different strokes, for different folks' philosophy - survive.
